Went to Kalimun without any bookings and with the intensions to talk to John and get his help for bookings. Unfortunately we learned that John passed away. For travelers wanting help with bookings and accomodations I would recommend to go to the coconut house or just aks around. These islands are amazing

I spent 5 days in Karimunjawa and since the first one John, gave me many recommendation about the island. He helped us to find a good accommodation, we become immediately friend, I still remember the nights spent with him and some other people just talking and sharing our experience beer and food. He's not a business man who wants to cheat or push you, he wants to share with people his love for this beautiful island, we had a nice trip boat around the island an unforgettable day of fun faraway from the tourist place where usually the tourist trip goes. If you are in Karimunjawa you have to meet John because he's the soul of the island.

John can sort out some good accomodating at cheap prices...80k , 100k and more depending on fan or aircon etc etc. He has a good knowledge of the islands and is straight talking..ie you ask him a question and he wiĺl do his best to answer it honestly

We read the great reviews about John and his tours and we contacted him from Italy. When we arrived we saw him right the way! You cannot miss his orange spot right in front of the harbour! John is such a nice, peaceful person and we did 2 excursions with him just for the 2 of us. We felt like VIP but paying a cheap price! He brought us to several spots for snorkling (beautiful corals and lots of fishes, we also saw the star fishes, amazing!) and to beautiful islands with white sand. He also cooked for us fresh fish and rice. He also gave us good advices and explained us about indonesian culture. Awesome experience! If you go to Karimunjawa don't miss John! Alfio and Noemi

Nice touragency, did the snorkling and the diving with them and it was great! Really Nice staff and good lunch! Boat was not that big but okay for the amount of people that were on there. Would recomend!

Done a hopping island with John from Seasky, just to say usually I don't like the organized tours in asia but this one was different... you do a tour around places with no tourist, not crowded at all and also with a small group (we were 8), when other tours in the island putt you in a bout with 25 people... The tour was amazing, John was sublime, taking photos of us and taking care of the last detail. Amazing sunset in an island with no tourist, and we finished the night with a Seafood BBQ at hos place. Also he can help you with cheap accomodation and everything you need. John "the man of the island" 100% recommended! Thanks for this amazing day! 😀

I was in Karimunjawa around 1 week and can't imagine a best way to enjoy the island if is not with the help of Jon, he is very helpful for everything you need: acommodation, food, chilling out, island hopping, snorkeling, even I could meet french girls who spend a night in a tent in another island and Jon was in charge to arrenge every single detail about that. He is the best, not kidding, just don't be shy, approach to his place and ask he has answer for everything and if he doesn't, he will look for it. And of course, the best prices also. I just not found help there, I also found a friend, a very good friend, helpful, taking care every moment of the people, and always helping not looking for money, just help people, where can you find people like them nowadays? The world needs more Jons :)

Just arrived we met John. First, he helped us to find a nice guesthouse. Then, he showed us all the think we can do in the island, he had diner with us, he gave us two bikes for free, he tough many coffees with us as well ... we snorkel with him, it's was so nice !! Jon (no "h") is the man for you if you want to see the best of the Islands. There's no better recommendation like those from past clients. We met such a couple and have no reservations writing this to help you with your trip(s). Jon provided bikes, (delivered to and picked up from our resort), gave us a great trip diving, snorkelling and then to a beautiful island for dinner, and recommended a super place to eat on the island. His english is excellent and he could be Kariman's answer to Bristol's "Banksy". Seasky run by Jon, he was the only person on the island who replied my emails promptly when most of my enquires to other travel agencies went unanswered.Jon is very helpful with information regarding Karimunjawa. He can arrange most things you need. Snorkeling trips, island hopping or scuba. Recommends good places to eat. Only ask and he will see to it.He is located not to far from the pier. High recommended.

I stayed 4days in karimunjawa with my friend, it was our lucky break to meet john, the seasky.At first, i was quite disappointed that the tours were so pricey and nothing much to do.But right after we happened to meet john in the night market, everything changed.It was such a great joy for us to get along with john, sasha from russua and adrian from france.Thanks for giving us a priceless experience. Seasky Karimunjawa runned by John is the place to get your information about the island. We had an amazing snorkeling day organized by John. There were only 6 persons on the boat in contrast to other boats that were very crowded. He also helped us finding an accomodation, so we could stay during the weekend without making a reservation. We had a flat tire while we were scootering around the island Karimunjawa. We were standing next to the road and did not know what to do. Ries helped us with finding a garage. We talked a lot with him and enjoyed the afternoon with him till sunset. He brought us to this restaurant from his mother at the beach. I had the best mango juice and corn fritters. It was an unexpected wonderful day, filled with good energie!

The snorkeling tour i did with my father and john was amasing! He can design with you a special tour if you want to see particular islands and he knows awesome spots for snorkelling and diving.John is also always available to give you tips for tourism in karimunjawa. We went to Karimun in the springtime, knowing nothing about the islands other than they had good snorkeling. John made our trip there so amazing that we stayed there an extra day. He recommended beaches, restaurants, invited us for coffee or cards in the evenings, designed a custom snorkeling/beach trip for us, and overall just made us feel at home. I couldn't recommend him or his services enough.

We met John at our hotel, I send him an email after reading positive feedback on TA. He immediatly awnsered and showed up within 10 minutes.From the moment we first met him he was really friendly and not pushy. He just tells you the possibilities and ask what you would like to do. We had not received this friendly voice anywhere in Karimunjawa or in our hotel so we were very pleased. We ended up meeting each other 3 days/ night and he proved to me to be more then an normal ( business orientated) guide.John is always in for an adventure, a drink partner in the evening, helping you with whatever question you have or change out stories and jokes while hanging out on the beach. He even taught me how to ride scooter and went on a trip with me / showing nice scenery. He is genuinely interested in you.Also he is clever and can tell you all about the indonesian culture in a really interesting way.Its hard to describe with words why we enjoyed him so much, but for us he made karimunjawa a really GOOD experience.What I would maybe not have if I didnt get the guidance from John.To put my phrase together: John is top notch guide and good person, one of the best.Goodbye John

Be simple, as soon as you arrive, go near the ferry harbor meet John at the SeaSky "Orange" Office! He will very help you to organize your stay in Karimunjawa, show you the best beach, and tell you the places where you must be! But the best activity is the snorkeling all day with John!!! He is not expensive at all, he takes little groups (while other tour compagnies fill their boats), and he brings you on the bests spots to see a wonderfull submarin world! I usually dont leave any review but ive gotta do thisWe had snorkeling tour from other agency first day on the island. it was quite touristic squeeze 20 people on the boat. Nothing but dead coral and small fish we could see. But fortunately we met john in the restaurant and we could join with him.Seasky tour was what we were looking for.Nontouristic calm chilled with the nice people on the island. At snorkeling spot we could see baby sharks and small rays and beautiful corals as well. And we had lunch at john's island. Crystal clear water and calm island it was incredible. And we saw beautiful sunset. After sunset we had dinner together and had so nice time with drinking, sharing everyone's stories and making jokes around.I could remember every single moment with ma man gangsta john, kind beautiful crazy russian sasha, the nicest guy on the island adrian.I never gonna forget you guys and thanks for making me this precious memory!

We had been travelling through Indonesia for over 2 months so when John approached us and we thought here we go another salesman trying to rip us off! However how wrong we were. John chatted with us and gave us advise about the island and told us about the boat trips including his prices but told us to check out others as well to compare. What sold us though was his realism and love for the environment and nature. We booked a best tour with him and it was amazing. Go to his island.. Beautiful! The day after our host trip we saw John again at dinner and he gave the girls a present. We then got chatting and went back to the HQ where we had beers with Mr Moor who owns the office building/house and also was ohr host driver, with Jamal (hahahaha) who was our guide on the boat trip and John himself (Mr rock and roll.. Take I easy)! Many other locals popped in as well and we had an amazing night getting to know them all and telling stories. One of my best experiences of Indonesia! Cheers John for all your help!
